During this class, we have learned a great deal about the context of special education, both its past and present, especially in regards to children suffering from EBD, or Emotional & Behavioral Disorders. It has been an eye-opening experience, and helped both of us realize the many challenges and difficulties these students face. As educators, it is our solemn duty to help provide FAPE, or a Free Appropriate Public Education to all of our students, including those with special needs. This project will outline the things we learned in our SPED 630 class, and hopefully help others to understand the challenges that students with EBD have, as well as appropriate ways that we as educators can best serve their needs in the classroom, school, and beyond.
