Reflection: We have all had our "lesser" moments as students, even me. I was pretty much a hellion in school, I am sorry to say, but I'm sure it was true. I had to blurt out every idea I had, and I had a rough time controlling myself in conversations (though I did learn!). While I've never been diagnosed with ADHD, I believe I at least have / had a mild form of it, and I remember getting scolded for always fidgeting, blurting things out, etc. At least for me, I know what it is like to be going 1000 MPH while everyone else is crawling at 60 MPH. It's something I've mostly grown out of, but that knowledge helps me better be an advocate for those who have suffered that, and it helps us connect better.
